H.R. No. 1207
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Parker J. Nickerson has ably served his fellow
Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Jolanda
Jones during the 88th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Nickerson has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nickerson is currently enrolled as a student at
The University of Texas at Austin; during his time at the Capitol,
he has contributed to the success of Representative Jones's
legislative agenda through his research and analysis of complex
public health policy issues and his assistance with drafting
legislation, and he has also provided critical support to lawmakers
in other areas; and
WHEREAS, Parker Nickerson has performed his duties as a
legislative aide with great skill and diligence, and through his
dedication to helping improve public health and uphold the values
of our democracy, he has earned the respect and admiration of all
who have had the pleasure of working with him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Parker J. Nickerson for his service as a
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Jolanda
Jones and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in
all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Nickerson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
