H.R. No. 1261
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gary Gardner has been selected as the 2023 State
Wildlife Conservationist of the Year by the Association of Texas
Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the Texas State Soil and
Water Conservation Board; and
WHEREAS, Each year, ATSWCD and TSSWCB recognize individuals
for their steadfast commitment to the conservation and management
of renewable natural resources; the state honorees in each category
are chosen out of entries from across Texas; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gardner was nominated for the State Wildlife
Conservationist of the Year award by the Upper Llanos Soil and Water
Conservation District in Junction; he will be presented with the
accolade and honored for his achievements at the 83rd Annual
Meeting of Texas State Soil and Water Conservation District
Directors in Fort Worth later this year; and
WHEREAS, Gary Gardner has distinguished himself through his
valuable contributions to wildlife conservation in the Lone Star
State, and he is truly deserving of special recognition for his
efforts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gary Gardner on being selected as
the 2023 State Wildlife Conservationist of the Year by the
Association of Texas Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the
Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board and extend to him
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Gardner as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
