 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Brenda Foster is marking 50 years of service to the
 State of Texas on July 29, 2023; and
 WHEREAS, In 1973, Mrs. Foster began her state employment with
 a summer job in the Texas Department of Insurance Industrial
 Accident Board, now the Division of Workers' Compensation, and by
 the end of the summer, she had accepted a promotion; over the course
 of her tenure with the agency, she has held a variety of roles in the
 insurance, employee and employer services, customer service,
 business process improvement, and hearings divisions, and she
 currently serves as a program specialist in the dispute resolution
 division; she has played an instrumental role in testing and
 implementing such technologies as the TXCOMP automated information
 system and the attorney fee application; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Austin, Mrs. Foster attended Anderson
 High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Prairie
 View College; in all her endeavors, she enjoys the love and support
 of her husband of 52 years, Donald; and
 WHEREAS, With her dedication, professionalism, and
 commitment to excellence, Brenda Foster has earned the respect and
 admiration of her colleagues and greatly benefited her fellow
 citizens, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her
 accomplishments on this special milestone in her career; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Brenda Foster on 50 years of
 service to the Texas Department of Insurance and extend to her
 sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mrs. Foster as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
