 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Glenda Maureen Davee
 Morrison of Round Rock were deeply saddened by her passing on March
 22, 2023, at the age of 77; and
 WHEREAS, Born to E. J. "Pete" Davee and Jewel Tomme Davee on
 June 23, 1945, the former Glenda Davee grew up with the
 companionship of two sisters, Kay and Geri, and moved with her
 family to Round Rock early on; as a student at Round Rock High
 School, she was a cheerleader and received numerous honors,
 including Miss March of Dimes, most studious, and highest-ranking
 female graduate; during high school, she met her future husband,
 Ron Morrison, and they were joined in matrimony on July 17, 1965;
 the couple went on to share more than a half century together until
 Mr. Morrison's passing in 2016; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Morrison enjoyed a rewarding career as a
 teacher at her alma mater; beloved by her students, she taught
 accounting and led the Future Business Leaders of America
 organization; in 1981, she and Mr. Morrison opened Morrison Auto,
 and she worked as an accountant and kept operations in order; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Morrison loved spending time with her nieces,
 Brooke Hailey, Roxanne Balusek, and Amber Koepke, and her nephew,
 Dewayne Balusek, and she cherished her role as "Aunt Deer" to Hayes
 and Ford Koepke; sustained by a strong faith, she hosted a weekly
 prayer group for years; in her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and
 spending time with friends, especially at her book club; and
 WHEREAS, While her loss is difficult to bear, Glenda Morrison
 has left behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives are far
 richer for having known her, and she will forever hold a treasured
 place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Glenda Maureen Davee
 Morrison and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her
 passing; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Glenda
 Morrison.
