No. 1334 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Linda Alvarado Blanco of Round Rock were deeply saddened by her passing on April 3, 2023, at the age of 70; and WHEREAS, Linda Blanco was born to Dorothy and Rogelio Blanco in Round Rock on April 3, 1953, and she grew up with the companionship of her sister, Gloria; she graduated from Round Rock High School in 1971; and WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Ms. Blanco worked for Meridell Achievement Center in Jollyville and The Nelson Children's Residential Center through Lutheran Social Services in Denton; she retired from Proscape Landscaping after many years of service; and WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Blanco was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 447 and held a number of officer positions; moreover, she was a lifetime parishioner of Saint William Catholic Church; in her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; and WHEREAS, Admired for her warm and caring nature and radiant smile, Linda Blanco brightened the world for all who knew her, and they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Linda Alvarado Blanco and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her mother, Dorothy Blanco; to her sister, Gloria Vallejo, and her husband, Adolfo; to her nephew, Rogelio Orlando Vallejo, and his wife, Leshelle; to her niece, Linda Adrianna V. Vasquez; to her great-nephews, Adolfo Jacob Vallejo, Thayer Scott Vallejo, and Alister Lee Vallejo; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Linda Blanco.
