R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jaren Tankersley has ably served his fellow Texans
as legislative director in the office of State Representative Terri
Leo-Wilson during the 88th Legislature; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Tankersley's resourcefulness and initiative
have earned the appreciation of his colleagues, and his
contributions to carrying forth Representative Leo-Wilson's
legislative agenda have helped address issues facing citizens
across the Lone Star State; in addition to conducting research and
analysis on legislation and policies, he has helped coordinate
communication with other agencies, written reports and briefing
materials, and managed four legislative interns; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Tankersley is a senior at The University of
Texas at Austin, and he has previously served as a copywriter for
RedRock Strategies, as an intern with the Texas Public Policy
Foundation, and as a field representative for Merus Strategies in
Florida; in addition, he completed a legislative internship in the
office of State Representative John Smithee; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his
duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and he is
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Jaren Tankersley for his service as
legislative director in the office of State Representative Terri
Leo-Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Tankersley as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
