R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Anita Hinojosa of the Dr. M. L. Garza-Gonzalez
Charter School received a 2023 Women in Education Award from the
Education Service Center Region 2 at its Outstanding Women in
Education event on March 29; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hinojosa has enjoyed a rewarding career in
education that has spanned more than five and a half decades; she is
currently employed as deputy superintendent of business and support
services at the Dr. M. L. Garza-Gonzalez Charter School, where she
has worked for 12 years; she also serves as the school's federal
programs director and has helped secure numerous grants to empower
instructors and provide a quality education to students; and
WHEREAS, Anita Hinojosa has set an outstanding example of
leadership and dedication to which others may aspire, and she is
indeed deserving of this noteworthy honor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Anita Hinojosa on her receipt of a
2023 Women in Education Award from the Education Service Center
Region 2 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
in her important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Hinojosa as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
