88R27687 TBO-D By: Jetton H.R. No. 1595 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Captain Erick E. Erinna Sr. of the U.S. Army is being honored for his leadership as company commander of the Houston Medical Recruiting Station during his change of command ceremony on June 9, 2023; and WHEREAS, Captain Erinna will officially take on his new assignment as career manager at the Army Human Resources Command in Fort Knox, Kentucky, on June 26, 2023, bringing a wealth of experience from his current role as company commander; over the course of his two-year tenure, he has overseen targeted recruiting operations in three states, and he has supervised a team of 5 officers, 18 noncommissioned officers, and 3 civilians; under his able leadership, the company has annually commissioned more than 70 health care professionals in over 41 occupational specialties of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserve; and WHEREAS, Prior to joining the Houston Medical Recruiting Company, Captain Erinna served as a deputy chief human resources officer for the 804th Medical Brigade in Massachusetts, a battalion adjutant for the 439th Multifunctional Medical Battalion in New Jersey, and a station officer in charge for the Army Medical Department in Oklahoma; his many military honors include a 2021 General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, Recruiting Gold Badge, Recruiting Ring, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal; and WHEREAS, Captain Erinna holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in business administration from Ashworth College in Norcross, Georgia; he plans to pursue a doctoral degree in business; and WHEREAS, Demonstrating an exceptional commitment to the mission of the U.S. Army, Captain Erick Erinna has greatly benefited his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his outstanding record of service as he takes on the challenges and opportunities of his new position; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Captain Erick E. Erinna Sr. on his change of command and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Captain Erinna as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
