 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Jason Cordoba received the 2022 Outstanding Man of
 the Year Award from the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce on March
 8, 2023; and
 WHEREAS, An admired attorney, Mr. Cordoba has demonstrated a
 longtime commitment to giving back to the Brazosport community; he
 is a member of the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce Executive
 Committee and is the vice chair of the Public Affairs Division;
 furthermore, he has served on the boards of numerous other
 organizations and institutions, including Heritage Bank, Lake
 Jackson EMS, the Brazoria County Dream Center, the Brazosport
 Symphony Orchestra, Southwest SIDS Research Institute, and Helping
 Hands and Hearts Hospice; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Cordoba graduated from Brazoswood High School,
 and he went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of
 North Texas and a law degree from South Texas College of Law; in
 2016, he started his own practice, Cordoba Law Firm, PLLC., that
 focuses on business and real estate transactions, as well as civil
 litigation; he was honored as one of The Facts' Leaders Under 40 in
 2020, and the following year, he was inducted into the Brazoria
 County Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame; and
 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Cordoba enjoys the love
 and support of his wife, Andrea, and their three children; during
 his leisure hours, he likes to hunt, fish, and spend time with his
 family; and
 WHEREAS, Jason Cordoba has greatly benefited his fellow
 citizens through his wide-ranging contributions to the community,
 and he is indeed a deserving recipient of this prestigious honor;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Jason Cordoba on his receipt of the
 2022 Outstanding Man of the Year Award from the Brazosport Area
 Chamber of Commerce and extend to him sincere best wishes for
 continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Cordoba as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
