R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jasmine Vishun Benau has been named salutatorian of
the Class of 2023 at Mayde Creek High School in Houston, and she
indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant
honor; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two
top-ranking students in her class, Ms. Benau demonstrated a
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
of a notable high school career; and
WHEREAS, Following graduation, Ms. Benau plans to attend The
University of Texas at Austin, where she will major in finance; and
WHEREAS, During her years at Mayde Creek High School, Jasmine
Vishun Benau has earned the respect and admiration of both her
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jasmine Vishun Benau on graduating
as salutatorian of the Mayde Creek High School Class of 2023 and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Benau as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
