 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Matt Ammerman of Borger High School was named the
 2022-2023 Region 16 High School Principal of the Year by the Texas
 Association of Secondary School Principals; and
 WHEREAS, Each year, TASSP recognizes administrators from
 across the Lone Star State for their exceptional performance;
 candidates for the award are nominated and chosen by their peers,
 and regional winners become eligible for the statewide title; and
 WHEREAS, Since taking on the role of principal at Borger High
 School, Matt Ammerman has gone above and beyond to foster a
 supportive and challenging academic environment; his many
 responsibilities have included overseeing a number of major
 renovations to the campus, such as facility updates to ensure
 student safety and technological improvements to classrooms; he has
 also contributed to a Borger Independent School District initiative
 that allows students to take SAT tests on weekdays at no cost; and
 WHEREAS, The commitment to excellence that Matt Ammerman has
 brought to his endeavors at Borger High School has inspired
 faculty, staff, and students alike, and he is helping many young
 Texans acquire the skills they need to build fulfilling and
 productive lives; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Matt Ammerman on being named the
 2022-2023 Region 16 High School Principal of the Year by the Texas
 Association of Secondary School Principals and extend to him
 sincere best wishes for continued success with his important work;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Ammerman as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
