No. 2113 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Henry Cagigal has been named a head golf professional with the City of Fort Worth Golf Division; and WHEREAS, A resident of Fort Worth, Mr. Cagigal was a member of the golf teams at Nolan High School and Texas Wesleyan University; his accomplishments as an amateur player included winning two City of Fort Worth tournament championships and the John R. Williams Four-Ball Invitational at the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, as well as making 12 appearances at the U.S. Amateur national championships; as a professional, he participated in the PGA Tour Qualifying School from 1998 to 2001, and has played in such tournaments as the AT&T Byron Nelson, Buick Open, Bangkok Open, Malaysian Open, and Philippine Open; over the years, he was a member of the Golden State Tour, and he played in the Texas State Open six times with a top finish of sixth; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cagigal is the head golf professional at the Meadowbrook Golf Course, an 18-hole municipal course that is considered one of the best in the state; he continues to play in PGA events in North Texas with victories at the Lajitas & Srixon/Cleveland Golf/XXIO Pro-Scratch and at the WinStar World Casino Pro-Pro Championship and second-place finishes at the Club Car/XXIO NTPGA Senior Championship, the Prize Possessions Eastern Championship, and the Metro Chapter Two-Man Championship; and WHEREAS, Henry Cagigal has distinguished himself through his exceptional abilities as a player and instructor, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his accomplishments as he takes on the challenges and opportunities of his new position; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Henry Cagigal on being named a head golf professional with the City of Fort Worth Golf Division and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Cagigal as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
