R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Texas communities are made richer and stronger by
those individuals who give generously of their time and talents in
behalf of others, and Joe Haliti of Conroe exemplifies civic
engagement at its finest; and
WHEREAS, Since settling in Texas some 20 years ago,
Mr. Haliti has distinguished himself as an entrepreneur and a
valued member of the Conroe community; the owner of Joe's Italian
Restaurant, he has played an important role in a number of
initiatives to benefit area residents, including organizing the
distribution of baby formula during a national shortage and
donating his business's catering services to assist nonprofit
groups; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Haliti has also worked to further the city's
vibrant sense of place; in 2021, he commissioned artist Ruben Ortiz
to paint a mural on the exterior of Joe's Italian Restaurant that
features local landmarks and famous figures from Conroe; and
WHEREAS, Joe Haliti has demonstrated an outstanding
commitment to serving his fellow citizens, and he is a continuing
source of inspiration to all who are privileged to know him; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Joe Haliti for his contributions to the
Conroe community and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Haliti as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
