H.R. No. 2144
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lindsey A. Guerra has been named valedictorian of
the Class of 2023 at Foy H. Moody High School in Corpus Christi, and
she indeed merits special recognition for receiving this
significant honor; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the
top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Guerra demonstrated a
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
of a notable high school career; and
WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being
recognized for her hard work, Ms. Guerra has gained the opportunity
to address her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on
their shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and
WHEREAS, During her years at Foy H. Moody High School,
Lindsey A. Guerra has earned the respect and admiration of both her
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lindsey A. Guerra on graduating as
valedictorian of the Foy H. Moody High School Class of 2023 and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Guerra as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
