R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The service of an admired Edwards County elected
official drew to a close when Lee Sweeten retired as county
commissioner for Precinct 2; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure, Mr. Sweeten served
his fellow citizens with distinction, ably meeting the myriad
responsibilities of his office; and
WHEREAS, Through his dedicated leadership and commitment to
good governance, Lee Sweeten has helped make Edwards County an even
better place in which to live and work, and he has set a standard of
excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Lee Sweeten for his service as Edwards
County commissioner for Precinct 2 and extend to him sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Sweeten as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
