R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The service of an admired Pecos County official drew
to a close when Santiago Cantu Jr. retired as county commissioner on
December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure, Mr. Cantu served his
fellow citizens with distinction, ably meeting the myriad
responsibilities of his office; and
WHEREAS, Through his dedication and commitment to good
governance, Santiago Cantu Jr. has helped make Pecos County an even
better place in which to live and work, and he has set a standard of
excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Santiago Cantu Jr. for his service as a
Pecos County commissioner and extend to him sincere best wishes for
the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Cantu as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
