R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The service of an admired Upton County official drew
to a close when Tommy Owens retired as county commissioner on
December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure, Mr. Owens served his
fellow citizens with distinction, ably meeting the myriad
responsibilities of his office; and
WHEREAS, Through his dedication and commitment to good
governance, Tommy Owens has helped make Upton County an even better
place in which to live and work, and he has set a standard of
excellence to which others may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Tommy Owens for his service as an Upton
County commissioner and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Owens as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
