 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
 memories of Michael V. Foster of McKinney, who passed away on
 February 19, 2023, at the age of 54; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Clyde Foster and Judy Malone Price, Mike
 Foster was born in Plainview on June 14, 1968, and he grew up with
 the companionship of his brother, Jeff, and his sister, Cheryl; he
 graduated from Plainview High School; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Foster enjoyed a rewarding career with United
 Supermarkets that spanned more than three decades, including 15
 years as the store director for Market Street in McKinney; under his
 able leadership, the store received numerous honors, including
 Business of the Year and Supermarket of the Year; in 2019, he was
 recognized as the grocery chain's Store Director of the Year; and
 WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his community, Mr. Foster was
 involved with numerous civic organizations, such as the McKinney
 Kiwanis Club and the McKinney Chamber of Commerce; he was also a
 member of the boards of Volunteer McKinney, the McKinney Alliance,
 Smiles Charity, and the YMCA, and he served on the steering
 committee for Community Lifeline Center; among his many
 achievements, he received a Distinguished Service Award from the
 City of McKinney, and he graduated from the Leadership McKinney
 program in 2010; and
 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Foster enjoyed the love
 and support of his wife, Shanna, with whom he shared a fulfilling
 marriage of 18 years, and he took great pride in his children,
 Garrett and Erin; during his leisure hours, he enjoyed playing
 golf, hunting, boating, skiing, and taking part in other outdoor
 activities; and
 WHEREAS, Mike Foster lived a full and generous life devoted
 to his family, his profession, and his community, and he will
 forever be remembered with great admiration and affection; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Michael V. Foster
 and extend profound sympathy to all who mourn his passing; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Michael
 Foster.
