and retired physicians, TX400 works to promote the right of every
patient to be seen by a professional fully trained in medical school
and medical residency programs; the group draws its membership from
across the spectrum, including practicing and retired physicians,
primary care doctors, medical and surgical specialists, residents,
 and medical students; and
WHEREAS, Members of TX400 promote transparency in the

to ensure that members of the public are always apprised of the
credentials and training of those who are providing their medical
care, so that patients know whether they are being seen by a
nonphysician provider, or NPP; members support the right of every
patient to choose physician-led care, and they warn against the
confusion caused in a clinical setting when the title "doctor" is
claimed by those who do not possess an MD, DO, or MBBS degree; and

health care facilities to clearly post the name of the responsible
physician, along with notification as to whether that physician is
on site; the organization cautions that patients cannot expect the

physician, and that in the event of a legal dispute, courts do not
hold nurses to the same standards as physicians; and
WHEREAS, The members of TX400 are united in their commitment
to the health and well-being of their fellow citizens, and it is
indeed a pleasure to welcome them to the State Capitol; now,
