R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carrie Hoffpauir has been honored with the EXCEL
Award for the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School
District from the KENS 5 television station; and
WHEREAS, Each year, KENS 5 presents its EXCEL Awards to
recognize outstanding educators from local school districts; as
part of the award, Ms. Hoffpauir also received a $1,000 cash prize;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Hoffpauir is a fifth grade language arts teacher
at Barbara Jordan Intermediate School; known for her creative
teaching methods, she enjoys incorporating animals into the
learning process, and she takes great satisfaction in inspiring her
students to never give up; she works tirelessly to foster an
appreciation of reading in her pupils, while also emphasizing the
value of social emotional learning in her classroom; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Carrie Hoffpauir has
made a positive difference in the lives of countless young Texans,
and her dedication, expertise, and innovative spirit have earned
her the lasting respect and admiration of her students and
colleagues alike; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Carrie Hoffpauir on receiving the
KENS 5 EXCEL Award for the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City
Independent School District and extend to her sincere best wishes
for continued success in her important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Hoffpauir as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
