R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Colony Economic Development Corporation
received a 2022 Economic Excellence Recognition Award from the
Texas Economic Development Council Legislative Conference on
February 24, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1961, the TEDC annually honors the
top economic development organizations in the state; award
recipients qualify based on their certifications, professional
activities, and effectiveness, as well as on the training completed
by the organization's leadership and staff; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to providing competitive financial
incentives to companies that invest in its community, The Colony
EDC is one of only 55 organizations to receive an Economic
Excellence Recognition Award for 2022; it has further distinguished
itself by earning this prestigious accolade for the past 15
consecutive years; and
WHEREAS, The Colony EDC is making vital contributions to the
prosperity and economic vitality of The Colony, and it is indeed
deserving of this most recent honor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate The Colony Economic Development
Corporation on receiving a 2022 Economic Excellence Recognition
Award from the Texas Economic Development Council and extend to all
those associated with the organization sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for The Colony EDC as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
