The bill would require the denial of bail to a person accused of committing certain trafficking or sexual offenses against a child while released on bail for committing a similar offense. The Office of Court Administration (OCA) indicates that no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.  Local Government ImpactAccording to OCA, the denial of bail to certain defendants may result in more defendants being detained locally pending trial, which may have a fiscal impact to units of local government.
