The bill would amend the Transportation Code to increase the dollar value of contracts for highway improvements that may be filed locally with a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) district engineer from less than $300,000 to less than $1.0 million.Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
