The bill would amend the Election Code related to of the statewide voter registration list.  The bill would require that participation in an interstate voter crosscheck system using this list fulfill certain fiscal and operational requirements.  The Secretary of State currently receives $750,000 per year for participation in the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) interstate voter crosscheck program.  It is presumed that any enrollment in a potential successor system would have similar costs and could be accomplished within existing resources.
