The bill would require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to adopt certain rules relating to the medical transport of female inmates, as well as place certain requirements on the availability of telemedicine. It is assumed any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
