The bill would amend various Sections of Transportation Code, Chapter 502, relating to registration of vehicles, and Chapter 504, relating to license plates, to make non-substantive clarifying corrections. The bill would amend Transportation Code, Section 502.146, to authorize the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) to issue distinguishing license plates for certain farm vehicles. The bill would repeal Section 504.515, relating to the Honorary Consul specialty license plate.Based on the information and analysis provided by TxDMV and the Comptroller of Public Accounts, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would have no significant fiscal impact to the State.  Local Government ImpactIt is assumed any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement related to an offense under the provisions of the bill would not be significant.
