Local Government ImpactDistricts would likely incur costs to send written notification to the parent of students regarding the option to receive notice each time the child obtains library material. Additionally, districts would have costs associated with implementing the required notification system. There could be costs to districts to implement the requirement to establish a local school library advisory council, including hosting meetings, preparing materials for the council, providing audio or video recordings of meetings, and posting the recordings to the district website.
