The bill would amend the Election Code related to the storage medium used to record votes in certain ballot scanning devices. According to the Secretary of State (SOS), the bill would have no significant fiscal impact on the agency.  Local Government ImpactAccording to the SOS, no significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated as voting systems certified by the agency already meet the requirements of the bill.
