The bill would restrict the use of public funds by political subdivisions for lobbying activities and repeal the authority of a county commissioners court to spend money from the county's general fund for membership fees and dues of a nonprofit association of counties.   Local Government ImpactThere could be a negative impact on units of local government relating to hiring additional staff to replace services currently provided by lobbyists and the nonprofit association of counties.
