A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to Holocaust Remembrance Week in public schools.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 29.9072, Education Code, is amended to
add 29.9072(d) as follows:
Sec. 29.9072(d) The agency must review the implementation of
Holocaust Remembrance Week at each school district. The agency may
partner with the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission to assist
in the implementation of Holocaust Remembrance Week at each school
district.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
