A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the operation of statewide technology centers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 2054.378, Government Code, is amended by
amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (c) to read as
follows:
(a) The department may operate statewide technology centers
to provide [two or more] governmental entities, on a cost-sharing
basis, services relating to:
(1) information resources and information resources
technology; and
(2) the deployment, development, and maintenance of
software applications.
(c) The department by rule shall specify the services a
statewide technology center may provide.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
