A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to fire escape exemptions for certain courthouses.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 791.004, Health and Safety Code, is
amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c) This chapter does not apply to a county courthouse
located in a county with a population of less than 100,000.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
