 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
 passing of Carolyn Cline Mendoza of White Oak on March 7, 2023, at
 the age of 80; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Nathalee and Marshall Cline, the
 former "Sue" Cline was born in Evansville, Indiana, on July 31,
 1942, and she grew up with the companionship of her sister, Marsha
 Lee; after moving to Texas, she graduated from White Oak High School
 in 1961; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Mendoza was the proud mother of three children,
 Sondra, Rhonda, and an infant son, Thomas Melvin Lockhart Jr., who
 preceded her in death; with the passing years, she had the privilege
 of seeing her treasured family grow to include three grandchildren
 and four great-grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, A lifelong fan of the White Oak High School
 Roughnecks, Ms. Mendoza never missed a football game if she could
 help it, and she was a dedicated member of the White Oak Football
 Moms' Club and an avid supporter of the Regiment of Roughneck
 marching band; in her leisure time, she enjoyed crafting, and she
 made beaded necklaces, candles, and homecoming mums; and
 WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, Sue Mendoza has
 left her loved ones with many cherished memories, and they will
 forever hold her close in their heart; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
 hereby pay tribute to the life of Carolyn Cline Mendoza and extend
 sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing: to her daughters,
 Sondra Lockhart and Rhonda Foster and her husband, Mike; to her
 grandchildren, Michael Wooddell and his wife, Sally, Michaela
 Norwood and her husband, Johnathan, and Marshall Wooddell and his
 wife, Mariah; to her great-grandchildren, Elliott, Samuel,
 Guinevere, and Royri; to her nephew, William Hamilton; to her
 ex-husband, Fidel Mendoza; and to her many other relatives and
 friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
 day, it do so in memory of Sue Mendoza.
