 SENATE RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 join realtors and Texans across the state in celebrating March
 22, 2023, as Texas Realtors Day at the State Capitol; and
 WHEREAS, The Texas Association of Realtors, known as Texas
 Realtors, has more than 150,000 members; it is the largest
 professional association in Texas, and its members are engaged in
 every aspect of the state's diverse real estate interests,
 including farm and ranch real estate, property management, and
 international, residential, and commercial real estate; and
 WHEREAS, Real estate and housing are essential to state
 and local economies; property purchases lead to jobs in the
 construction industry, and each transaction contributes to the
 growth and prosperity of our local communities; and
 WHEREAS, The members of Texas Realtors across the state
 adhere to a strict code of ethics that demands competence,
 fairness, and integrity in carrying out their profession; as the
 Texas housing market experiences unprecedented demand, Texas
 real estate professionals demonstrate an impressive ability to
 adapt to changing conditions so that Texans can continue to
 attain their goal of home ownership; and
 WHEREAS, During sessions of the Texas Legislature, members
 of Texas Realtors traditionally convene at the Capitol to meet
 with elected officials to discuss issues that are critical to the
 Texas real estate industry; it is indeed fitting that a day be set
 aside to honor Texas Realtors; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
 Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Texas Association
 of Realtors on their many contributions to our state's prosperity
 and extend to them a warm welcome and best wishes on the occasion
 of Texas Realtors Day at the Capitol; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 the association as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
