 SENATE RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize the Houston Chapter of the Asian Real Estate
 Association of America; and
 WHEREAS, The Asian Real Estate Association of America is a
 nonprofit trade organization dedicated to connecting and
 supporting real estate professionals in the Asian American
 Pacific Islander community and seeks to promote home ownership
 and property investment for Asian Americans and Pacific
 Islanders; and
 WHEREAS, The association, which comprises 45 chapters with
 18,000 members in the United States and Canada, is the largest
 real estate trade organization representing the Asian American
 Pacific Islander population; it facilitates partnership and
 communication among professionals in real estate and
 business-related companies to best serve the AAPI community; and
 WHEREAS, The Houston Chapter of the Asian Real Estate
 Association of America provides critical social and business
 opportunities that support the AAPI community of professionals
 and home buyers, and the organization's efforts contribute to the
 economic health of the entire Houston community; and
 WHEREAS, The Houston chapter continues to be a leader in
 the areas of business initiatives, real estate policies,
 professional development, and community outreach and serves as a
 source of advocacy and empowerment for its members in its mission
 to create sustainable home ownership and property investment
 opportunities; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend the Houston
 Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America on its
 valuable contributions to the Houston community and extend to its
 leadership and members best wishes for the and for continued
 success in their endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 the chapter as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
