CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Glenn Rogers is being recognized by the Association
of Fundraising Professionals TX, Permian Basin Chapter with the
Outstanding Philanthropist Award on the occasion of National
Philanthropy Day on November 16, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Officially established by the AFP in 1986, National
Philanthropy Day is an annual observance of the extraordinary
humanitarian efforts of people and organizations around the world;
the event also aims to increase public interest and awareness of the
importance of giving, volunteering, and engaging effectively at the
philanthropic level; and
WHEREAS, The AFP Permian Basin Chapter was founded in 1993
and supports its members by offering a variety of valuable
networking and training opportunities; each year, the group hosts
an NPD event to honor the outstanding work of individuals,
businesses, and organizations in the region that are dedicated to
giving back to the community; and
WHEREAS, National Philanthropy Day provides a welcome
opportunity to recognize those individuals who endeavor to make the
world a better place, and Glenn Rogers is setting an admirable
example of generosity and civic engagement to which all may aspire;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas,
3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Glenn Rogers on receiving
the Outstanding Philanthropist Award from the Association of
Fundraising Professionals TX, Permian Basin Chapter and extend to
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Rogers as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives and Senate.
