R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carlos & Mickey's Restaurant & Cantina in El Paso
has won the loyalty of many area residents while contributing to the
prosperity of the local economy; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1944, Carlos & Mickey's is owned and
operated by the Saenz family and has earned a reputation for its
extensive menu of Mexican food and its live mariachi music; and
WHEREAS, Local businesses of long standing play a vital role
in the culture and economy of the Lone Star State, and it is indeed a
pleasure to honor Carlos & Mickey's Restaurant & Cantina for the
high regard it has enjoyed in the El Paso community over the nearly
eight decades since its founding; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Carlos & Mickey's
Restaurant & Cantina and extend to the Saenz family and their staff
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Carlos & Mickey's as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
