R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The ninth annual Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown is taking
place in Eagle Pass in December 2023; and
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one
of the organization's state championship cook-offs, this
much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas
and beyond; these highly skilled pitmasters put their culinary
abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in
several different categories; and
WHEREAS, The event's grand champion will receive an
invitation to the American Royal World Series of Barbecue contest
as well as an opportunity to compete at the Jack Daniel's World
Championship Invitational Barbecue competition; and
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the
Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown is sure to offer good food and good times
to everyone in attendance; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2023
Chupacabra BBQ Throwdown and extend to the organizers, contestants,
and attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event.
