 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Georgan Reitmeier is concluding her service to the
 Klein Independent School District Board of Trustees in November
 2023; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Reitmeier was first elected to the school board
 in 2005, and over the course of her exemplary 18-year tenure, she
 has worked tirelessly in behalf of the district and distinguished
 herself as a steadfast advocate for public education; in addition
 to fulfilling her duties on the board, she currently volunteers as a
 mentor at McDougle Elementary School and is on the Literacy Squad of
 Bridging For Tomorrow at Klenk Elementary School; and
 WHEREAS, Prior to joining the board, Ms. Reitmeier served
 Klein ISD as a longtime parent volunteer and then as the director of
 the Early Childhood Intervention Keep Pace program for the Harris
 County Department of Education; deeply dedicated to her community,
 she has also given generously of her time and talents to a number of
 other organizations, including the Gulf Coast Area Association of
 School Boards, the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), and
 the Lone Star Investment Pool, and she is a founding member of the
 Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum; in recognition of her
 accomplishments, she earned the 2013 Outstanding Women in Education
 award from the North Harris County branch of the American
 Association of University Women; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Reitmeier holds both a bachelor's and a master's
 degree in education from Oklahoma State University, and she earned
 a master trustee certification from Leadership TASB; in all her
 endeavors, she enjoys the love and support of a fine family that
 includes her husband, Tom, and their two children; and
 WHEREAS, Georgan Reitmeier's hard work, professionalism, and
 commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the students of
 Klein ISD and earned the respect and admiration of her peers, and
 her contributions will resonate in the community for years to come;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Georgan Reitmeier for
 her service on the Klein Independent School District Board of
 Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Reitmeier as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
