R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jim Ball of the Flower Mound Police Department was
promoted to the rank of lieutenant on October 15, 2023, and this
achievement represents an impressive milestone in his law
enforcement career; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Ball was hired by the Flower Mound Police
Department as a patrol officer in 2009; and two years later, he
became a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, and he
was promoted to sergeant in 2016; his responsibilities have
included serving as a drone pilot, and he has furthered his
professional development by earning certification as a master peace
officer; in recognition of his many contributions, he was honored
as the 2022 Sworn Supervisor of the Year; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Ball began his career in law enforcement
in 2000 with the Irving Police Department, and from 2003 to 2009, he
was a member of the Dumas Police Department, where he held the rank
of sergeant; and
WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and dedication
to duty, Lieutenant Jim Ball has greatly benefited his colleagues
and his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with pride on
this well-deserved promotion; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Jim Ball on
attaining the rank of lieutenant with the Flower Mound Police
Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Lieutenant Ball as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
