H.R. No. 59
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The 69th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed
cause for celebration, and Raul Liendo marked that special
milestone on November 9, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Born in 1954, Mr. Liendo earned a bachelor's degree
in government from The University of Texas at Austin; he is
currently in his 15th year with Oncor, and he previously served as a
legislative consultant for TXU Energy and as a member of the staff
for the Texas Senate and House of Representatives; fondly known as
"Tio Raul" to his friends at the State Capitol, he has earned the
respect and admiration of lawmakers and staff alike for his wise
mentorship and extensive knowledge of the legislature; and
WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Liendo treasures time spent with
his five children and five grandchildren; in his leisure hours, he
enjoys learning about history and writing music and short stories;
and
WHEREAS, With the passage of another year, Raul Liendo may
reflect with pride on his wide-ranging accomplishments and on the
many significant contributions he has made in behalf of his fellow
citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Raul Liendo on
the occasion of his 69th birthday and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Liendo as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
