 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A life lived with joy and purpose drew to a close
 with the passing of Amelia Garza Webb on November 12, 2023, at the
 age of 82; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Andres and Lorenza Garza, the former
 Amelia Garza was born in Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on
 November 21, 1940; she grew up with 10 siblings, Eliseo, Irma,
 Joel, Elisa, Emma, Evangelina, Anita, Dora, Bertha, and Andres; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Webb was dedicated to her large extended
 family; she shared a fulfilling relationship with her husband,
 Danney Webb, and she was the proud mother of two sons, Robert and
 Daniel; through the years, she was blessed with numerous
 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren;
 and
 WHEREAS, An entrepreneur and accomplished businesswoman,
 Mrs. Webb owned and operated Mission Auto Parts and Machine Shop in
 South San Antonio; she was dedicated to customer service and set a
 high standard of professionalism; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Webb found many outlets for her creativity,
 whether working on canvas, in a garden, or in the kitchen; with a
 passion for helping others, she also developed expertise in
 naturopathic medicine; she loved nature and found solace in the
 great outdoors, enjoying both the thrill of the hunt and moments of
 quiet contemplation; and
 WHEREAS, Loyal and kind, Mrs. Webb was quick to offer a warm
 smile, helping hand, or words of encouragement; from a young age,
 she was sustained by a strong faith, and she quietly supported a
 number of ministries and causes, without seeking recognition for
 her generosity; always positive and optimistic, she chose to focus
 on the good in every situation and every person; and
 WHEREAS, Although Amelia Webb will be deeply missed by those
 she left behind, they will continue to find inspiration in her
 courage, resilience, and great devotion to her family and her
 faith; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
 Amelia Garza Webb and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her
 family: to her husband, Danney Webb; to her sons, Robert Garza Soliz
 and his wife, Geralyn, and Daniel Garza Soliz and his wife, Elaine;
 to her grandchildren, Lisa, Lauren, Laina, Andy, Felicia, Robert,
 and Melissa; to her many great-grandchildren and
 great-great-grandchildren; to her siblings, Elisa, Emma,
 Evangelina, Anita, Dora, Bertha, and Andres; and to her other
 relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Amelia
 Webb.
