 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Carolyn Witherspoon is retiring as the executive
 director of the Coalition of Health Services, Inc., in Amarillo in
 December 2023, drawing to a close an exceptional tenure with the
 organization that has spanned a quarter century; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Witherspoon first joined the Coalition of
 Health Services in March 1998 as a quality assurance coordinator,
 and she became executive director two years later; under her
 guidance, the coalition has excelled in its mission of enhancing
 the well-being of residents of the Texas Panhandle by fostering
 coordination among healthcare facilities and supporting ongoing
 health initiatives in a 32-county area; and
 WHEREAS, Active in her professional community,
 Ms. Witherspoon has served as a director and as president of the
 National Cooperative of Health Networks Association, and she was
 recognized as the NCHN Outstanding Network Leader of the Year in
 2013; she is a graduate of Dimmitt High School and studied at West
 Texas A&M University; and
 WHEREAS, Carolyn Witherspoon has distinguished herself
 through her dedication, expertise, and commitment to benefiting her
 fellow Texans, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career
 well spent as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Carolyn
 Witherspoon on her retirement as the executive director of the
 Coalition of Health Services, Inc., and extend to her sincere best
 wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Witherspoon as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
