SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 38 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to pay tribute to Apostle Robert L. Alexander on the occasion of his 65th birthday; and WHEREAS, This distinguished gentleman is well known for his wisdom and generosity of spirit, and he is a source of inspiration to his family, to his congregation, and to his many friends; and WHEREAS, Robert Alexander was born on October 19, 1958, in Gasonia, North Carolina; beloved and respected in his community, he dedicated 25 years to the Austin Independent School District; and WHEREAS, A man of spiritual depth and devotion, Robert was a faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Faith Christian Center, and Bethel Church, where his experiences in the faith encouraged him to pursue his calling as a fulltime minister; and WHEREAS, Together with his beloved wife of 42 years, Pastor Sharon, Apostle Robert opened Breath of Life Fellowship Church in 2001; throughout his time as chief apostle, he has ministered to the temporal and spiritual needs of innumerable Christians; and WHEREAS, Blessed with a servant's heart, Apostle Robert leads a weekly Bible study and has taught at the Bible School of the Spiritual Kingdom Theological Institute for four years; he is a devoted father to his children, Shannon and Joshua, and a loving grandfather to his three grandchildren; and WHEREAS, As he achieves this important milestone in his life, it is truly fitting that this esteemed gentleman be recognized for providing enlightenment and hope to his loved ones, to his congregation, and to his community; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby recognize Apostle Robert Alexander as a treasured citizen of this state and congratulate him on his 65th birthday; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as a memento of this special day.
