                    SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 39
 WHEREAS, The Leander Independent School District has been
 named the 2023 College Board Advanced Placement Large District of
 the Year and is being honored during a special ceremony at Vista
 Ridge High School on November 16; and
 WHEREAS, Each year, the College Board Advanced Placement
 Program recognizes just three schools nationwide, in small-,
 medium-, and large-district categories, for their achievements
 in expanding access to AP initiatives and boosting equity and
 exam performance; and
 WHEREAS, Leander ISD has made advanced academic coursework
 an integral part of its educational mission; the district's
 advanced pathway programs are offered at elementary and middle
 school campuses, and AP high school classes give students the
 opportunity to excel in a challenging learning environment that
 enables them to build the knowledge and discipline they need to
 prepare for college; and
 WHEREAS, A quality education is critical to the continuing
 vitality of our state, and the administrators and faculty of
 Leander ISD are to be commended for helping students to reach
 their full potential by prioritizing Advanced Placement studies;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
 Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate the Leander
 Independent School District on its selection as the 2023 College
 Board Advanced Placement Large District of the Year and extend to
 all those associated with the district sincere best wishes for
 continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
 prepared for Leander ISD as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas Senate.
