The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to increase the reimbursement fee certain prosecutors may charge for a defendant's participation in a pretrial diversion program from not more than $500 to not more than $1,200. The Office of Court Administration (OCA) does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact to the state court system. Local Government ImpactAccording to OCA, the bill could have a positive fiscal impact to units of local government that choose to increase the reimbursement fee.
