Smithee, Chair, House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB2178 by Harless (Relating to the emergency installation and use of a mobile tracking device on a vehicle by an authorized peace officer.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would establish certain procedures for an authorized peace officer to use a mobile tracking device on a vehicle. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
