The bill would require the Department of Family and Protective Services on receipt of a report of suspected abuse or neglect, to immediately notify a county or district attorney with jurisdiction, to investigate or prosecute the reported abuse or neglect of the report.It is assumed that any costs to the Department of Family and Protective Services could be absorbed within existing resources.   Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
