The bill would amend the Government Code, under Chapter 421, to require the Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor to make funds available to state agencies and local governments for the construction or improvement of roadways and similar transportation facilities in the border region that allow for monitoring of commercial vehicles.   Local Government ImpactAccording to the Department of Transportation, there could be a positive fiscal impact on certain units of local government that receive funding under the provisions of the bill.
