                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 89TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 10, 2025       TO: Honorable Cody Harris, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB310 by Guillen (Relating to the use of money transferred from the Texas water fund.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend prioritization requirements regarding the use of funds transferred from the Texas Water Fund (TWF). The bill would add municipalities with a population of less than 20,000 to the list of financial assistance recipients that the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) must ensure that a portion of the money transferred from TWF is used for.   It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
